Financial Advising.
One on one counseling to help you devise an Action Plan to achieve your financial goals. Our desire is for all individuals and families to get to the place where there is no high interest debt in their lives. Budgeting, Snowball Method, & Debt Consolidation is part of our process.
Low Interest Loans
If the market cannot provide low interest consolidation loans, then we will do our best to fund as many loans as we can.
As community members pay back their loan, we are then able to give that money to a new family! Thus, donor’s gifts will be the gift that keeps on going.
Lending Circles.
Many immigrant communities have embraced this concept for years. Many in Los Angeles call it a Cundina. But there are many names for it. It can be for saving for a larger purchase or for helping get out of debt.
We want to sponsor a version of it, guarantee, including a matching percentage as part of the reparations owed to many communities. .
Group Economics.
The idea is that if you shop local, and shop small, the money you spend tends stay in your community. Rather than going to corporations and out of the neighborhood/city, it tends to circulate locally, supporting more and more of our neighbors. Supporting family businesses of color is a major part of this initiative.
We are looking to collaborate with anyone who is working on this! For now, we have a new, baby FaceBook Group for Los Angeles, attempting to gain some momentum around a #buylocal and #shopsmall.
